One-component polyurethane resin with good UV resistance used for the agglomeration of natural or coloured quartzes for coating and decorating indoor and outdoor floors
One-component polyurethane resin that can be used in highly exposed areas where yellowing is feared. Can be applied indoors and outdoors.
UV-stable resin for indoor and outdoor use. Good resistance to abrasion, acids, bases, oils. Once polymerized, it forms a flexible and translucent membrane.
Main uses: stone carpets by combining resin with marble, granite or coloured quartz aggregates.
Consumption: The mixture of 25 Kg of Marble (2.5/5mm) with 1.5 Kg of Resin covers approximately 1.5 m² for a thickness of 1 cm. The mixture of 25 Kg of quartz (3mm) with 1,750 Kg of resin covers approximately 2 m² with a thickness of 8 mm.
Roller application for waterproofing: 0.200 to 0.300kg/m² with an interval of 6 hours to 24 hours between coats.
Substrate preparation: Substrates must be dry, free of dust, grease, oil, moisture, curing agent, loose or crumbly parts and must not be subject to rising damp by capillary action. Stripping is done by mechanical action (sanding, planing, shot-peening, diamond sanding). Impregnate the substrate with the same resin before applying the resin + aggregate layer.
Preparation of the mixtures: To make a stone carpet, mix the resin (1200 watt mixer not on the right) with marble or quartz in the following proportions:
- 25 Kg of Marble (2.5 to 5 mm) + 1.5 Kg of Resin (6% of the weight of the aggregates)
- 25 Kg of Quartz (3 mm) + 1,750 Kg of Resin (i.e. 7% of the weight of the aggregates)
