The notched Spreader WEST SYSTEM 809 is the best tool for applying thickened epoxy mixtures.
The notched edges are used to apply a controlled and constant amount of thickened epoxy to a surface. Deeper notches apply more material than shallower notches.
The smooth edge can be used as a rigid element to force excess resin and air out of a laminate, just like the softer 808 plastic spreader.
