Translucent mono-component acrylic resin for wall stone carpet
Warning: When opened, the resin is white, but once applied, it becomes translucent during polymerization
One-component acrylic resin for vertical installation of marble granulate, quartz with a particle size not exceeding 5 to 6 mm.
Main uses: realization of stone carpet inside and outside in vertical
With aggregates of 3 mm, the thickness of the coating will be approximately 5 to 6 mm ie +/- 7.5 to 9 kg / m²
With aggregates of 4 mm, the coating thickness will be approximately 6 to 8 mm ie +/- 9 to 12.5 kg / m²
Substrate preparation: Substrates must be dry, free from dust, grease, oil, moisture, curing compound, friable or non-adherent parts and they must not undergo capillary rise in moisture. The stripping is done by mechanical action (sanding, planing, shot blasting, diamond sanding). The use of our PREPOX solvent-free epoxy primer is highly recommended on very porous substrates such as plaster and plasterboard.
Preparation of mixtures: This resin is used only in wall (interior or exterior) and must not be immersed.
The quantity of resin to be used for the mixture is 12% (± 2) of the weight of the aggregates, ie 0.120 kg of GRANICRYL resin per 1 kg of aggregates. This proportion is given for an average particle size of aggregates of 4 mm.
Using a mixer (power 1200 W, 400 rpm - not right), mix the GRANICRYL resin with the aggregates in a basin (bucket or trash can) adapted to the total quantity.
Application: In order to create the adhesion of the final product, it is imperative to apply a layer of GRANICRYL resin at a rate of 0.300 to 0.500 Kg / m² depending on the state of the support with a toothed squeegee or a wide brush.
Afterwards, without waiting for the drying, spread on the support the mixture resin aggregates and to tighten with the smoothing stainless steel. All the tools needed for the implementation must be cleaned frequently with water because the dry resin is no longer dissolved in water and small skins can pollute the mixture and make the application more difficult.
