Vacuum infusion is a technique used in the boating industry, wind energy, etc... This process allows mass production of large parts (aircraft, wind turbine, boat hull...). Moulding by vacuum infusion consists of placing dry reinforcements in a vacuum in a mould closed by a tarpaulin, which are impregnated with resin that is sucked up by the vacuum created in the mould.

The PRO-VAC range

    Bagging films

    Vacuum bagging films for vacuum infusion moulding. 75 micron thick and 80 micron thick films are used for infusion. The 50 micron thick films are used for pre-impregnation, wet process technique. The thicker the film, the more resistant it is.

    Release films

    Vacuum Moulding Separator Film is used between the tear-off fabric and the net to limit resin uptake and facilitate demoulding. There are two types of film: P3 and P3. P3 is a perforation style for hand lamination, wet lamination and pre-impregnation techniques (0.5mm +/-0.2mm diameter holes). P31 is a perforation style for vacuum infusion techniques (0.8mm +/-0.2mm diameter holes).

    The tear-off fabric allows you to take care of the appearance of the finish of the piece because it removes amines. The coloured stripes allow you to see if you have left any on your part. The tear-off cloth also helps to remove the materials that you have left on your part.
